February is Purple

As Capricorn and Aquarius take over our daily lives, I have been lost in thought constantly. Here’s some of those thoughts, as well as a reading for each sign. The reading will tell you what VENUS in CAPRICORN and MERCURY in AQUARIUS will do for you.

I dyed my hair lavender today. Since I was young, I’ve always associated colors, letters, shapes, numbers, zodiac signs, planets, days, months, and years together. This way of thinking is how I know that February is purple. Of course, some people associate these things differently, but I’m sure that’s because of our differing birth charts. AQUARIUS is more of a blue in my mind, but it works well with purple nonetheless.

February is a strange month to me. Despite it being my birth month, I find it to be the weirdest energy of all the months. Valentine’s Day has the duality of love and hate, where some people have high expectations and others simply dread it. My birthday is four days after it, meaning sometimes I can still spot trash cans full of flowers while I experience my solar return. I would love to know why a day about couples exists in AQUARIUS season, a masculine air sign, rather than something more logical like LIBRA or CANCER. February is also home to President’s Day and Martin Luther King Jr. day, which are respectable holidays and make perfect sense in the sign of humanitarianism. Likewise, it is also Black History Month which is not only fitting but makes me happy to be an AQUARIUS baby. The political holidays make perfect sense, and then there’s Valentine’s Day. Anyways, I always felt like my birthday had a great look to it. I love the way the word February looks and I love the way the number 18 feels. Being born in 1999, I was given a triple digit spirit number to look at my whole life.

Astrology has been on my mind a lot. Every now and then, especially back when SATURN was in CAPRICORN, I will be far too focused on the practical things in life to consider any astrological implications. The stars sometimes do this to us on purpose, but I much prefer times of life where I am knee deep in astrology theories. I am beginning the practice of writing my own horoscopes based on the transits. Watching 2020 unfold astrologically was incredibly educational for me, especially when using current events to draw contrast to my personal experiences. Since the fall, I have steadily increased my journaling to a daily basis, which has cleared my mind and allowed for more knowledge-based abundance to come my way. I highly recommend journaling. One theory I’ve found was because of my curiosity about my own attraction to SAGITTARIUS RISINGs. I, myself, am a VIRGO RISING. This means that the sign SAGITTARIUS is in my 4th HOUSE. The 4th HOUSE is the HOUSE of the home and stability. I concluded that my attraction is based on my perception that SAGITTARIUS represents home to me, so these people provide me comfort in that way. If you want to understand these types of things about your own chart, it’s really not too hard. All you need is your RISING sign; that sign is your 1st HOUSE, and in chronological order are the rest of your HOUSEs. Venus in Capricorn & Mercury in Aquarius… Reading for the Signs

Personally, I really enjoy this time of year. Of course, I have an Aquarius stellium so I may be biased. This was an interesting reading for me to see what other signs experience during this astrological period.
